He found a house...

The husband found a house.  A two year exhaustive, frustrating, disappointing, phone tossing, hissy fit throwing search his eyes finally alighted upon something he was excited about. Key here is, something HE was excited about. If only I had known.
The man was specific. Thus search was alternately easy or non existent. The directives given to our brilliant  real estate agent Cynthia were as follows:
Must be pre- war. Which war not exactly sure he is not into history so much.
Must be big enough as to not grow out of but, not too big as to be pretentious.
Must have land but, not too much.
Must have nice neighbors but, none too close as to encroach on his territory.
Must need work so we can make it our own but, not require structural work.
Must be walking distance to town but, not noisy.
Must not have many alterations that he finds offensive.
Needs to be in our second graders school, district.
Needs to be within our budget. Ahh,  the kicker.
So this is what he finds... Hm?

This is what lured him in. I am not impressed the conversation was as follows.
Husband: "Get me into see the house tomorrow." Yes, a ball of sunshine.
Me: " You have got to be kidding, why?" It is a disaster, no one wants it (it had been on and off the market for almost 10 months) and oh yes, who is buying? The price was a stretch  and it likely needs WORK and not the fun kind.
Husband: "Are you going to call Cynthia or do I?"
Me: thinking wow... you cant dial the phone? "Fine but, I am not going."
Call is made.
Cynthia: " Listing agent is away and no one is allowed into the house without
Listing agent. Translation, they really are not too interested in selling."
 Bullet dodged.
Husband: "Take next available I want to see it." Yes, Mr. Golden Sun shining down on me.
Me:  "I am not going."

He must have been serious. He had me hire babysitters so he could focus.
